Australian Red Cross has received Government funding specifically to support people who are on temporary visas with a small one-off emergency relief payment. The payments are not income support and are limited. The support can only be offered to people on temporary visas who have no income or savings and no access to other support. To protect everyone’s safety during COVID-19, you are advised to not go to Red Cross offices.

If you are an international student, contact your institution to see what support they can provide.

If you are a tourist, on a working holiday visa or someone wanting to return to home country, you can contact your embassy/consulate to understand the support they can provide in the first instance.
